We offer various removal methods, including manual extraction, possible herbicide application, and ongoing maintenance services.
Prior to commencement of work, our team will conduct a thorough assessment of the property to determine the extent of the infestation and the most appropriate removal strategy. We will provide a detailed estimate outlining the scope of work, associated costs, and timeline for completion. Submitting a quote request form does not constitute a binding contract or agreement for services. All estimates, whether submitted online, by phone, or in person, are preliminary and subject to on-site inspection and written agreement. A formal service agreement must be confirmed before any work commences.

Our team prioritizes safety throughout the removal process. We utilize appropriate personal protective equipment — including gloves, long sleeves, and eye protection — to minimize exposure to plant oils. We take precautions to prevent the spread of urushiol (the irritating oil found in poison ivy, oak, and sumac) and to minimize disruption to surrounding vegetation and landscaping.
In cases where manual removal alone is insufficient to control an infestation, we may recommend the targeted application of herbicides. Our team uses only herbicides approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and applicable regulatory authorities, and follows all safety guidelines and environmental regulations. Any recommended herbicide use will be disclosed to the client in writing prior to application.
We guarantee the complete removal of poison ivy as identified during the initial property assessment. Our guarantee provides coverage for two (2) years post-service to ensure your complete satisfaction. If poison ivy returns to a treated area within the guarantee period, we will return to address it at no additional charge, subject to the terms of your service agreement.
Please note that while we strive to achieve complete eradication, recurrence may occur due to seed dispersal from neighboring properties or root regrowth from untreated areas outside the original scope. The guarantee applies only to areas specifically identified and treated in the initial service assessment.
Payment terms will be outlined in your service estimate and may vary depending on the scope of work and any agreed-upon schedule. Unless otherwise specified in writing, payment is due upon completion of the bulk removal services. We accept payment by cash, check, or major credit card.
Clients may cancel or reschedule removal services up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment without incurring any cancellation fees. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee as specified in your service agreement.
Poison Ivy Removal LLC carries liability insurance to protect against unforeseen accidents or property damage occurring in connection with our services. Clients are encouraged to review coverage details with our team before work begins. We are not responsible for pre-existing property conditions, damage caused by client failure to disclose known hazards, or plant regrowth caused by conditions outside the treated scope.
In the event of a dispute arising from services rendered, both parties agree to first engage in good-faith negotiations to reach a mutually acceptable resolution. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may proceed to mediation or binding arbitration in Wayne County, Indiana, before any litigation is initiated.
